Joana Vasconcelos Exhibition

Last Sunday I went to Palácio Nacional da Ajuda to see the Joaninha’s exhibition.
I already had seen the majority of her artworks, but not live. Want to know? Much better that I was expecting!
The most part of these artworks are huge, which make us fell very small. The criativity, detail, eccentricity, personality and originality do the rest.
The Jardim do Éden (that, unfortunately, I could not shoot because of the darkness) is an installation with plastic flowers that shine. How can she create a magnificient garden with such uggly flowers?
Another unavoidable artworks are Marilyn – so powerful -, A noiva – wich is done with o.b. tampons -, or Lilicoptère, that I imagined being Barbie’s helicopter.
I felt like crying when I saw Coração Independente at the sound of Amália.
At the end I wrote in the guestbook one word that resumes everything that I felt while watching the exhibition and what I feel regarding the author: “Proud!”.
Simply.

A boho-relaxed look

These photos were taken in an abandoned house here in Leiria that should be restored by law, specially because the view from there is amazing... What a pity!

P.S.:  This is, for a long time, the last photos wich I’m with long hair. Ah ah! Wait for the next episodes!

Ah ah! Aguardem pelas cenas dos próximos capítulos!

Sephora Head to toe hydrator

The brand of this moisturizer, that has in it’s composition HydroSenn+TM (an active ultra- moisturizer) and honey milk, says it can be applied on the body, face – as a mask -, on the hair tips and also as a hands and feet moisturizer.
I’ve tried it in all ways and came to some conclusions:
I do not advise it’s use as a hair conditioner because besides of spending much more than using it in other ways, the hair gets heavy and slightly oily.
As to the rest the cream is very good, being it’s strong points the freshness and, above all, the fact that it’s instantly absorved by the skin.
After several tries I ended up using it as a hands and feet cream.
From 0 to 10? I give it a 7!

Ballerina

I love ballet, always did!
I practiced classical ballet for about 7 years, always with tremendous pleasure. I love the loveliness, lightness, and I won an enormous respect for the dancers (oh, brave people!).
I note with great pleasure that the fashion world continues to inspire itself in this tulle and dreams and fantasy land.
Cool!

Ainda bem!

A fresh fruit salad

In this time of the year I enjoy a lot to do this meal, specially at dinner, because it is very healthy, is prepared very quickly and, the best of all, it doesn't mess the kitchen, wich is great for someone like me, that can't stand the cleaning up part! :)
To do this salad I used one yogurt, one banana, one kiwi, strawberries and half of a canned peach (as I’m not a fan of yogurts with flavour – I prefer the natural ones, ordinarily I use canned peaches or pineapple and add a little bit of the syrup to give flavour to the salad).

I still add some dried fruits – red bilberries, plums, Maranhão chestnuts and sunflower seeds.
After that you just need to mix everything. As a true addicted, I do not resist to add some cubes of cheese.

A different trousers

The reason that I love the trousers that I’m wearing is related to the fact that they have a side rift, which makes them absolutely original, without any similarity to a divided skirt.
The outfit that I’m wearing in the photos is very “straight”, so I chose to do a messy hairstyle, to deconstruct the look.
Hope you like it!

Leiria by night

Last Friday I went for the first time to Leiria’s castle. The fact that I live here for more than a year and had never been there makes the whole thing a bit embarrassing! I mean, in the end it’s not so strange: when we visit a place we try to get to know everything at once but once you live there you always think there will be lots of opportunities to visit the touring sites, right? ;)
Back at the castle, I went there to watch a concert by the wonderful JP Simões. One hundred and fifty seats, one guitar, one voice: delightful! Such a small country – such great music...
While I was there I took the opportunity to take some photos of the city, that looks great from up there.
Take a peak:

Ora vejam:
